PLEASE READ ENTIRE FORM - Classes start the week of SEPTEMBER 12^th.  (Registration Fee $25.00)

 All hair must be tied back for class. Please, no big shirts over leotards. (Dance shorts only: no gym shorts).

 

ABSOLUTELY NO GUM CHEWING DURING CLASS!!! Please wait quietly in the waiting area for the class ahead of you to finish. 

 

GIRL’S CLASS ATTIRE -  Solid colored leotards: according to assigned class. Ballet: Pink tights and pink ballet slippers. Hair must be worn off the neck, a bun or a clip.  Jazz: black shorts or black jazz pants and tan jazz shoes. Tap: Tan tap shoes; buckle or oxford according to age. The last week of every month: wear any color leotard. Please, no dance costumes.

BOY’S CLASS ATTIRE- White T-shirt, black tights or black jazz or stretch pants or sweats. Boy’s Shoes: black ballet, black tap and tan jazz. 

BOY’S & GIRL’S HIP HOP ATTIRE- All white sneakers, any color sweats or shorts and tops.

PARENTS – Please take advantage of our waiting room, enjoy coffee and watch the news on TV while waiting for your child. Many students have back to back classes which gives them a ½ hour break for dinner. During this time, please give up your seat for the students to eat dinner so they will not have to eat on the floor. Also parents, when the students have gone back to class, enjoy our dinners prepared nightly by Sharon while waiting for your child!

STUDENTS  –  Please do not clutter the tables with your dance bags, school bags, clothes and coats. You will be told at your 1^st lesson where to put your belongings. Please obey the bathroom rules. We only have one so please do not change in the bathroom. Use the dressing room or the changing room next to the office door.

TARDINESS –  If you are more than ten minutes late for class, it is at your teacher’s discretion whether or not you will be able to participate in class or just observe.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE –  Very Important….All payments are to be made by the 1^st lesson of each session.  Your tuition is broken down into 3 installments a year. (Here is the breakdown for One class a Week)

 1^st Payment of $195.00 due at Registration…..

2^nd payment of $195.00 due the 1^st lesson in December…..

3^rd payment of $195.00 due the 1^st lesson of March. Price increase -  $10.00 per month. (last increase - 2007 ) Monthly payment options are available at $70.00 per month_(You save $15.00 by paying the tri-monthly payment.) We have significant multi class discounts for students enrolled in more than one class per week.

Please be prompt to avoid a late fee which will be strictly enforced by our new computer program. These 3 payments guarantee 28 lessons throughout the year. ** Do not deduct a fee if your child misses a class for any reason. A make-up class will be granted at your request in an appropriate class by your teacher. If you are going to miss a class, please call the studio and leave a message.

 NO REFUNDS – Refunds only apply for new students who have been enrolled at KDC for less than 30 days.

There is a payment drop slot in the office door. Feel free to use this if a receptionist is not in the office.

Tuition must be paid before attending class. All teachers have a list of unpaid students.

                                                             

 

COSTUME PAYMENTS – 3 installments of $25.00 per class due in October, $25.00 per class due in January and the balance will be due the last of March. All costume payments are to be made on a separate check from tuition payments. Once costumes are ordered, there will be no refunds. (Order Date, Feb.20^th)

 

VACATION SCHEDULE: Oct. 10^th Columbus Day / October 31^st Halloween / Nov. 11th Veterans Day /  Nov.22^nd -27^th, Tues. – Sun. Thanksgiving Break /  Dec. 12^th ~ Jan. 2^nd  Christmas Break / Jan. 16^th Martin Luther King Day / Feb. 20^th ~ 26^th   February Break / April 16^th ~ 22^nd  April Break.

 

PERFORMANCE  DATES – Halloween Show – October 22^nd Tap Nutcracker – Dec. 9^th & 10^th, Spring Performance - May 10^th – 12^th    

 

STORM CANCELLATIONS - Follow the same format of the Augusta schools . Check TV cancellations.

We are not responsible for any injuries to anyone in the building, including lost, stolen or damaged personal property. All students and parents are to respect the facility and the reputation of our school. Those who do not obey the rules will be dismissed from our program without a refund. This entire sheet has been read by the parent or guardian and fully agrees to comply with the rules and regulations of the Kennebec Dance Centre 2011-2012 season as stated above.
