Miss Keltie, David DaSilva (Father Fame), & Miss Holly

The Waterville Opera House showcased the musical "Fame Forever" this fall.  This was the US Premier of this show!  Very exciting for Central Maine!  Keltie is one of the two choreographers and many of our students and faculty performed in the show. 

 

        KDC students Allison Putnam and Stephanie Paradis recently auditioned for many of the most prestigious summer ballet intensive programs in the country. Allison was accepted to the Boston Ballet Summer program with  the honor of receiving an "Early Acceptance" letter and she was also accepted to The Rock Ballet School. Allison has chosen to attend the Boston Ballet program this summer. Stephanie was accepted to The Boston Ballet program also with an "Early Acceptance" letter, The Pittburgh Ballet Theatre, American Ballet Theatre,  and the Houston Ballet Academy.  Congratulations to both girls!


KDC's Artistic Director, Keltie Collins, was chosen to be the new dance audition choreographer for Maine State Music Theatre's productions. 

KDC's Ballet Mistress, Andrea Michaud Tracy, was chosen to present her work in the 2008 "Portland Dances" : A Choreographers Showcase. Many former KDC students and other professional dancers will be representing her choreography in this show.

Rachael Stetson, a 2008 KDC graduating senoir and "Encore" company member, was accepted into the SUNY Buffalo college dance program. Only 40 new students out over 200 that auditioned were accepted. She will start there in the fall!

KDC Assistant Director, Holly Collins, had the honor of being a judge and a master teacher at the 2008 Dancers Inc. national dance competition in Atlantic City.

KDC was chosen this summer by FOX Broadcasting to be one of the select dance schools to advertise during the airing of the show "So You Think You Can Dance". Keep an eye out for our 2 different commercials on FOX all summer long!

Former KDC student, Shari Katz, is now dancing across the world entertaining on one of the most respected cruise lines in the world, Regency Cruise Lines.

Peter Chamberlin, current Bill T. Jones company dancer and former KDC student, taught some guest master modern classes here at KDC this year and plans to come home to teach some more this August!
