KENNEBEC DANCE CENTRE 2008-2009 RULES & REGULATIONS

Classes start the week of September 8^th.  (Registration Fee $10.00 for New Students)

 All hair must be tied back for class. Please, no big shirts over leotards. (Dance shorts only: no gym shorts).  ABSOLUTELY NO GUM CHEWING DURING CLASS!!! Please wait quietly in the waiting area for the class ahead of you to finish.  GIRLS CLASS ATTIRE: Solid colored leotards, according to class. Ballet: Pink tights and pink ballet slippers. Hair must be worn off the neck, a bun or a clip.  Jazz: black bike shorts or black jazz pants and tan jazz shoes. Tap: Tan tap shoes; ties or oxford according to age. The last week of every month: wear any color leotard. Please, no dance costumes. BOY’S CLASS ATTIRE: White T-shirt, black tights or black jazz or stretch pants or sweats. Boy’s Shoes: black ballet, black tap and tan jazz.  Hip-Hop: All white sneakers, any color sweats or gym shorts and tops.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE –Your Tuition is broken down into 3 installments a year:

(For One class a Week) 1^st Payment of $150.00 due at Registration…..2^nd payment of $150.00 due the 1^st lesson in December….. 3^rd payment of $150.00 due the 1^st lesson of March.

****For multi class discounts, check with receptionist. All payments are to be made on the 1^st lesson of each session. ** Please be prompt to avoid a late fee which will be strictly enforced of $10.00 per month. These 3 payments guarantee 28 lessons throughout the year. ** Do not deduct a fee if your child misses a class for any reason. A make-up class will be granted at your request in an appropriate class by your teacher. If you are going to miss a dance class, call the studio and leave a message.

  NO REFUNDS – (Refunds for new students only who have been enrolled for less than 30 days).

COSTUME PAYMENTS – 3 installments of $25.00/class due in October, $25.00 due in January and the balance will be due the last of March. Please drop Costume money off at reception desk. All costume payments are to be made on a separate check from tuition payments. Once costumes are ordered, there will be no refunds. (Order Date, Feb.20^th)

VACATION SCHEDULE: Oct. 13^th Columbus Day; Oct. 31st Halloween; Nov. 11^th Veterans Day; Nov. 25^th -30th  Tues. – Sun. Thanksgiving Break; Dec. 15^th ~ Jan. 4^th  Christmas Break;
Jan. 19th, Martin Luther King Day; Feb. 16^th ~ 22nd, February Break; April 20^th ~ 26^th  April Break.

PERFORMANCE DATES – Halloween Show – Oct. 24^th , Tap Nutcracker – Dec. 12&13 , Recital - May 8th & 9th    (The Halloween Show does not include all students)

STORM CANCELLATIONS - Follow the same format of the Augusta schools.

Our staff at Kennebec Dance Centre has been trained to prevent injuries during class. Dance is a physical activity therefore an injury could occur. We are not responsible for any injuries to anyone in the building, including lost, stolen or damaged personal property. All Students and Parents are to respect the facility and the reputation of our School. Those who do not, will be dismissed from our program without a refund. This entire sheet has been read by the parent or guardian and fully agrees to comply with the rules and regulations of the Kennebec Dance Centre 2008-2009 season as stated above.
